What a week! We signed a contract on our house at 424 Old Course this week. It was supposed to go on the market Monday. We agreed to show it early to some folks who were in town from Florida and who were returning Sunday. On Monday Priscilla called D with an offer for the full asking price! The Lord continues to shower His blessings down upon our heads!

Week 6 was really neat because my mom was here from Natchez, MS and got to see the construction progress. Mom really came to hear my nephew, Roger Blevins. Roger's band, Mingo Fishtrap, played at Mardi Gras in Galveston Saturday night. Before going down for that, we drove to the country to see the house. The second story is framed. My gosh, Eddie, you and your crew are just amazing!

We climbed up to see what the view was like. Fabulous! From the bedrooms on the south side, there is a sweeping view of the bayou and the lawns leading down to it. The bedroom on the north side looks out over the old boat slip. It feels like you're in a tree house. You can stretch out your arm and touch the tree branches. It is so high up! No window in the sewing room though, boo hoo. Mike and I may have to re-visit the subject of a skylight.

2/6/99 - It's a house! 2/6/99 - From the front. I think the constructions workers solved our dilemma about the drive in front. 2/6/99 - In 4 short months, the little bronco will have a new home.

2/6/99 - More from the front (can you tell we were excited?!). 2/6/99 - From the master bedroom side. 2/6/99 - Same side but further back--you can see the garage.

2/6/99 - View of the back porches. 2/6/99 - From the back, sort of behind the garage. 2/6/99 -This is looking out of the upstairs back bedroom. You can see the bayou (a little out of its banks) in the background..

2/6/99 - View from the upstairs front bedroom, looking out toward Russell's lot (Natchez Trace Circle). 2/6/99 - There's D boy standing in his new garage looking up at me in the bedroom window. 2/6/99 - Pinch me again! Is it really real?
