It's Tuesday morning. Been up since 2:00 am updating web site. Didn't make it out to the house yesterday but I know the wallpaper ladies were working. Teri says the floor people are supposed to be out today. The lights and fans have all been hung. And the electricity is on! Yea, I can finally see in my sewing room! Can I see in my sewing room!!--four panels with 4 flourescent lights each. Teri is worried about me getting sunburned in there.

And...biggest news of all. I talked to Leslye last night. She's 1 cm dialated and 80% effaced so we may have a baby this week. It would be perfect timing. I'll pack my bags and wait on a call. Stay tuned!

...Sunday now. Well bugger, no baby this week! I called Les Saturday and said, "Last chance for an April baby." She's bearing up admirably, having fun with her "Event" calendar and gifts that we sent. Good thing really that we didn't have a baby this weekend; I was sick Friday night and Saturday. Better on Sunday. We drove out to the house Sunday evening and peeked in the windows at the hardwood floors which was the major focus of this past week. They are absolutely beautiful. Just exactly what D and I wanted. They will put a final coat of polyeurethene on tomorrow. The screens have been hung. The wallpaper is up everywhere except the kitchen (my most nervous pattern!). The papers in the upstairs baths are fine but the magnolia paper in the master is just gorgeous. Joannie and Kathy are excellent hangers. 5902 Cajun Way is the last job they will do for Gems. They're not going to be working new construction any longer because the conditions are just too much--heat combined with having to fight other workman for their space when they can make more money and be cool working houses that are already done. They are both neat ladies and I'm glad we got them before they left.

What a huge week this next one will be: all of the tile, saltillo and ceramic, as well as the carpet will be installed. Sod is coming and the propane tank. Plumbers will install potties and faucets and Gary will be back to put the tracks in for the adjustable shelving and all the knobs, pulls, handles, etc. on the doors and drawers. And sometime we have to have a baby and pack up this apartment.
